Believe Support Services

Believe Support Services is an organization that supports individuals with complex needs in living independent, supported, and fulfilling lives.
I was initially hired as a computer technician to support the administrative side of the organization. In this role, my responsibilities focused on troubleshooting common technical issues and assisting staff with day to day system problems. This position provided direct exposure to internal workflows, tooling limitations, and the organization’s operational realities.
During this time, the organization identified a need for a public facing website. I was asked whether I could build the site, and I agreed under the understanding that this work would be separate from my technical support role.
The goal of the project was to redesign the existing website using Wix in order to better communicate services, improve brand recognition, and ensure content accessibility. However, with no formal content requirements, documentation, or written briefs were provided. As a result, the scope of the work centered on structure, clarity, and long term maintainability rather than finalized messaging.
To address this, I worked within the constraints of the Wix platform while leveraging existing visual assets. I conceptualized a design language that could be reused and extended by future designers, and established a clear information architecture to reduce cognitive load for users seeking support. Accessibility considerations based upon W3CAG Level II, informed layout, hierarchy, and content structure to ensure the foundation could support diverse user needs.
The outcome of this work was a stable, flexible baseline rather than a fully content-complete website. The structure and design system enabled the organization to continue iterating independently as content became available. The current production site reflects ongoing changes built on top of this initial foundation.
